I have ten minutes until today fades into tomorrow, and all that’s pounding in my head right now is a wave of exhaustion because I need to go to bed but also I have so much to do tomorrow.

things that have been happening:

I recently made the switch from my paper planner to Google Calendar, and it has been glorious. I love color-coding everything I’m doing in the day and making to-do lists and plans and schedules and stuff, and--get this--actually sticking to them. Being independent is great, because it means you get to do whatever you want when you want, and I love planning out my time. It makes me feel put-together.

I haven’t heard Taylor Swift’s full new album, and I dislike all the singles she’s released on Spotify except for “Call It What You Want.” It’s not ego-busting, leg-swinging madness; it’s actually kinda cute. Would recommend. Actually, here’s a playlist of the music I’ve been listening to recently:

I received an A on my first paper for my literature class and now feel decently legitimized as a Lit major. My paper was on Chaucer and The Canterbury Tales, and I worked on it for a solid day and a half before deciding, at midnight, to rewrite/restructure the entire paper. Stayed up till three a.m. working on it, then woke up at eight and worked on it for another two hours before turning it in during class.

At that point, I was so sleep-deprived and intensely invested in my paper that I honestly didn’t know if it was any good or not.

But I got an A, and my TA had nice things to say about it, so I’m honestly thrilled.

I’m trying to figure out my schedule for next quarter. I currently have nineteen units scheduled for next quarter, which--compared to this quarter’s twelve units--is a lot. I’m probably going to go crazy at some point. But you know what? That’s okay.

I’m cutting back on vlogging. I used to post every three days. That’s not happening anymore--I’m getting progressively busier, especially as we near the end of fall quarter, and I want to be able to spend more time on my videos/take a break. So I’m probably just going to stick with once a week from now on. I hope, though, that the quality of the vlogs rises.

I’m continuing to write. I’m slowly but surely progressing through my work-in-progress. NaNoWriMo is not a thing for me, especially not with school, but I hit 5k on my book last week and am trying to hit 7k this week. I constantly feel like it sucks and am tempted to quit altogether, but something keeps me going back to the manuscript, and slowly but surely the words--and therefore the story--are adding up.

I’ve been attempting to exercise. I’ve been trying to go on runs every weekday morning as soon as I roll out of bed. It’s actually been quite peaceful--I started with ten-minute runs, and now I’m at fourteen-minute ones. And there’s something gloriously delicious about waking up when no one else is out and getting your blood pumping and heart racing.

What have you been doing? How do you organize your life?

  1. love your playlist!!!
    this post is v inspiring
you seem like you are thriving!!!!!!!!

  2. Wow, busy life. SAME GIRL.
I got casted as the lead role in my theater (Beauty and The Beast), and have one-hundred-twenty lines to memorize impeccably in six weeks, and five songs majority of which are solos.
Altogether...I'm nervous. But the judges picked me knowing I'm capable, and God will equip me. *please God*

  3. Running first thing in the morning is one of the best things. <3 I love running before the world wakes up; watching the sunrise is the best part! You should give the rest of T. Swift's album a listen if you have time, because a good amount of the songs are actually about her relationship which is cool! I'm loving that album right now. Hope your November is going well! :D
